When it comes to instant noodles, Taiwan is second to none. Taiwan's instant noodles are not only inexpensive but also delicious. Besides, there are countless choices for buyers to choose from. I am used to keeping a few packs of instant noodles in the place I live becasue I will not have to suffer when I feel hungry in the midnight and it is dangerous for girls to go out at night.

I have watched "Memoir of a geisha" and seen some of the introduction to the mysterious world of geisha. Some people said that geisha is a kind of high class prostitute, but the fact proved it wrong. It actually was a serious career which takes a woman's whole life to devote into. But I wonder why they'd serve wealthy men who are good for nothing. Why they would think that serving men is such a serious job, or that it 'd be worthwhile to take a lifetime to do this job. I cannot help but think that their values are distorted.

Chocolate is my favorite dessert and it always brings smiles back on my face when I am sad. I received a box of Lindt chocolate as a present from one of my best friends. I've heard that it is one of the most famous chocolate brand in the world. The chocolate itself is real good, but it's a shame that the climate in Taiwan is too warm for chocolate.

This is the Christmas tree in the front door of the resaurant Keukenhof in Chiayi. The price of the Christmas dinner is NT580 per person. It was pretty expensive for students like us. But it was a really special day, and it might be a good idea to have a really fancy dinner since we do not much have the chance to do so.

This Christmas was really special. My boyfriend and I surfed the Internet for a good restaurant, and we chose this restaurant: Keukenhof. Keukenhof is a famous park in Netherlands. They named their restaurant after the park because the style is like the beautiful flowers in Keukenhof in Netherlands. I am really excited to have dinner there.

This is the game I have been up to there days. It was a simple car racing game which provides enterrainment when you need to get away from a pile of assignments and reports. But be careful not to devote yourself into it, or you will lose the time to eat, to exercise or even to sleep.

23rd

I ate some rice cake from Hualien. They were brought back by one of my friends who went there for volleyball game. The rice cakes have two flavors, peanut and red bean. I think the peanut flavor is better. The next time I went to Hualien, I will bring some back for my friends as well.

22nd

The other way to read is just the opposite. And this is the method the teacher use( I guess). This is why it stressed me out. Some of my classmates do not like to read, but I am one of those who like to read, but I do not think this class will make students enjoy reading. Reading is a habit, a way of living, and a way to relax or to get amusement from. Therefore, to "teach reading" is kind of a ridiculous idea for me.

21st

There opened a class in this semester which kept giving me nightmares. It is the advanced class. Even though I liked the books the teacher wanted us to read, this class still made me stressed out. I like to read, but I think vocabulary is still the biggest problem for me. I have heard that there are two ways to read. The one is broadly reading. It means that you do not have to look up every word in the dictionary. The main purpose of this kind of reading is for readers to enjoy reading and what the context provides. (see next one)

My German teacher taught us the way Germans hold Christmas. She herself had been living in Germany for more than a decade, so she was pretty familiar with the way Germans celebrate Christmas. She said that Christmas is the biggest event in Germany, and business will stop on that day. People will go back to their homes for reunion and they would have dinner together.

I have been busy with the Guitar Club for almost the whole semester. The biggest event that we had to hold is the "Guitar Week" which means that we had to prepare for three days' perfomance. It was really a great experience, becasue we rarely learn anything about music or the technology of stereo system. I leared a lot by working through the guitar week.

The second quote I read is this one.

When I saw this sentence at first, I could not get it. Whereas when I take a second look at it, it just makes sense so much. Language is foul sometimes. Language could hurt people. Any other forms of art could hurt people's feelings at times, but music never does. It expresses sadness or happiness but never curses.

I was reading a book that is filled with 2000 famous quotes. I cannot understand what it means to say ''the pessimist fears this is true.'' Does it mean that the pessimist believe that everything will start to go worse? Or is it that this world is not even good for the pessimist; however, this is the best situation we can get?

I have read all the "Alexander" series of Judith Viorst during the time I was working in the English camp in summer vacation. I like this one especially the most. It told us that everyone could have a bad day but it is ok, because some days are like that. Now when I am sad, I think of this book, and it really made me feel better.

I am really happy that I had taken guitar lessons when I was in high school. At that time, my father did not want me to learn to play guitar because he thought that I would have less time spent on homework and text books. But now, even though my fingers ache sometimes, I have this skill to help me kill time or to amuse myself.

I and the other three classmates of mine had lunch with Jessie today. We talked about our lives and problems with school lectures. The most interesting thing I heard is that we have an English man in our department. This thing is so bizarre to me.

These days I am thinking that it is really not an easy thing to be a normal person. What I mean being a normal perosn is that feeling comfortable to believe or to believe that they will belive in me. Maybe I am not explaining it right. I just want to say I have trouble believing people. Sometimes I just cannot really love a friend. For example, when your lover told you that he/she loves you so much. You came to doubt whether someone could possibly love you so much. I know it is awkward because love is usually the most natural thing. Something you do not have to think about. Something that is only about to give.

This is the movie produced in Swiss. It talked about the story of a gerius and his family. I watched this movie in the Germany Class. My teacher siad that it is telling the different opinions that people have toward ''value.'' This reminds me of the value of my life. What is it all about?Is it all about others' expectation and the fulfillment of wealth and something we do not even need actually?

I went to Tainan this weekend to see my twin sister. She goes toNational Cheng Kung University and majors in Industrial Design. We went to a lot of places and realized that comparing to NCKU, Yuntech is really a small university in a small city. I think my sister get used to the life there pretty well and made a bunch of good frineds who shared a house with. i enjoyed the feeling that they all wish to see me. They said me and my sister looked quite alike.

I went back to Chiayi to see my grandfather yesterday, and planned to come back today to catch the fifth and sixth period classes. It was German Language and Culture, and the teacher had also been in Germany for more than a decade. Today is special because she told us last week to have the class at the administration center. To my disappointment, the teacher did not show up at the place that she appointed last week, nor did the whole class, I started to wonder if everybody forgot to come to the administration center and went to the classroom instead. Thus I went to the classroom only to find a note on the door saying"no class today." I was quite pissed off at that time. It does not feel good to be the one who remembered what the teacher said and then it is in vain to obey. Pretty ironic is that, no one actually showed up at the center and seemed that I am the only one who kept in mind. OR the one who was not informed by the leader of the class. What a bad day it is.

These days I have been so busy that I did not go home on weekends for about two to three weeks. My dad and my grandfather kept asking me when I could go to see them. Well...I felt somewhat quity for that, becasue I used to go home once a week both for the purpose of seeing my family and for the purpose of tutoring for a junior two student. Now I quit the job of teaching English for the reason that Iam so busy. I should think of the priorities and try to handle everything well.

Autumn is around the corner. I am so looking forward to Winter's coming, because I really enjoy watching movies with my roomies in my little apartment with a cup of hot cooca. Maybe after the movie, we will have a good chat about the plots, and then go out on the street to breathe fresh and chiling air. It does make people feel so comfortable and calm.

The trip to Kenting.
I went to Kenting this weekend along with the other members in Guitar Club. There were 25 people in total. We went to the beach to play vollyball and had a ride on the speedboat. In the evening, we went to the street which is full of tourists and we took out the amplifier and microphone and started singing. We made eight hundred dollars. Despite all these good things, there are always good and bad things to travel with a group of people. Once again I am sure that I am not a talkative person.

I read about a Chinese story in the reading class recently, and I wrote a summary for it. There was a rich man who wished to decide the future of his three daughters whereas the youngest girl refused to obey his father. The rebellion of the youngest daughter irritated the father, thus he married his daughter to the beggar in order to punish her. One day the couple found some treasures accidentally, and they listened to the old man to take only a handful of pearls. The rest of the treasures belong to Yee Men Tze. Afterwards, they had a son and still the rich man despise the beggar and named the baby”Yee Men Tze” The beggar realized that the rest of the fortune belonged to his son, and then they became the most wealthy family. In the long run, they realized that it is destiny that decided their future.

2nd

I watched this movie last weekend. It was talking about two relationships and i liked the one acted by Kate Winslet and Jack Black Kate was working in a publishing company troubled by the relationship with a colleague. Her colleague already had a fiancee and still flerted with her and tried to use her. Kate was really sad and then decided to go to L.A. He met an old man there and they became good friends. I liked that they talked about movies and the actors and actresses. Their conversation never became dry. I liked the wise talking a lot.

1st

Let me introduce one of my favorite bands. It is "1976" Although I do not really know everything about them like all the other crazy groupies, but most importantly, I like their songs a lot. Their songs are mostly like British Rock ,but the type does not matter, because I agree with their lyrics and I like what their songs. I have never gone to their concerts but I have a few CDs. I also like playing guitar, and listening to their music could do some help wiht my guitar.
